Sorting Through the Clutter
If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this...

Thursday, November 10, 2005

Some good ol' acoustic Blues and a piano lounge. All in the same night. What a treat. That's what I miss about Toronto...authentic lounge music. I miss dimly-lit lounges and the improvisational flair of a jazz pianist.

I really liked Bianca's Bar. Leather chairs and barstools were scattered randomly around a gleaming black grand piano. The music was soft enough for conversation but loud enough to grab your attention ever so often. The lounge was almost empty, so we could request whatever we wanted. I asked him to play some Sinatra. And when I closed my eyes, I could imagine myself in a lounge somewhere in the heart of Toronto's theatre district.
