Sorting Through the Clutter If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this...

I've been back in town for almost a week now and have managed to get my pictures onto the computer. Looking back at these pictures make me sad that my traveling days are over for awhile. I miss waking up in the morning, not knowing what I'll be seeing and who I'll be meeting that day.
But I have to work so that I can save up money to go travel again. So on I go. In the meantime, I'll relive some of my travel memories with you, my dear readers. (If I even have any left) :P
To make up for the face that I've been MIA from my blog for awhile - I'll post some pics (and commentary) in the upcoming weeks about my mini backpacking trip.
First up: Prague, Czech Republic
This picture is of Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic. Prague has some of the most beautiful buildings, bridges, and architecture. It's still one of my favourite cities in Europe. I took the picture while lying on the ground at 4 in the morning. Usually this bridge is teeming with tourists (myself being one) so it's next to impossible to get a picture of this bridge without people on it. Unless it's 4am. I was coming back from a night of dancing. Czech clubs are crazy, by the way. They really know how to party. But that's another story (or another post). I love how the light bounced off the polish surfaces of the bridge's cobblestones. Hints of pink and purple appear as the sun rise. I was surprised at how early the sun rose there. Good thing it did though. I don't think I would've been able to stay up until a normal sunrise time like 6am. My sleeping and eating schedule was really messed up in Europe. The sacrifices I had to make to have fun :)
This is the Church of Lady Tyn. I didn't get a chance to go inside though but the views from outside are spectacular. It looms over Old Town Square. During the day, Prague looks foreboding and dark. It's right out of a page of a medieval fairytale - one that doesn't necessarily have a happy ending. But at night, it's gorgeous. Everything is lit up, and the reflections in the Vltava river are beautiful. The Old Town Square at night is alive with cafes and tourists milling around. The church is lit up and contrasts with the warm glow of the other buildings in the square. It's a perfect place to people watch while having a coffee.
I really like this photo because it captures Prague in one frame. In the foreground is a pint of Pilsner Urquell - Czech Republic's most popular beer. It truly does taste a lot better over there than here in North America. In the background is Charles Bridge. And the structure looming off in the distance is Prague Castle. This was taken while sitting on a patio right by the Vltava River. We sat there for quite awhile as the sun set behind Prague Castle. It was pretty difficult to leave such a beautiful view.
I think that's all for now about Prague. If you want to check out more pics, follow the link to my Flickr page.
