Sorting Through the Clutter
If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this...

Today is a rainy rainy day. Really grey. Manju is moving to a new house today. Poor her...I would hate to have to move in this rain. I don't like walking under the rain, much less having to lug around boxes in this weather.

I'm leaving Newfoundland tomorrow(!) I put the exclamation mark in brackets because I am both excited and sad to leave. I've met some great people here, especially my roomie 'Manda. It's been great sharing a place with her and Steve. I can't believe I'm writing this. I feel like I had just blogged about choosing a place to live in, when I first arrived in Newfoundland. And now, four months have flown by and I'm leaving tomorrow. I'm sad to leave these people and the wonderful feeling of just living independently from the parents.

My super friends threw me a little going-away shindig on Wednesday. Fun times. I was made a honourary Newfie. It's a fun and embarrassing process actually - which involves singing, dancing, eating mystery meat, kissing a frozen cod, reciting Newfie phrases, and taking a shot of Screech (which is Newfoundland rum). That's why the whole process is called "being screeched in". Talk to any Newfie about Screech, and they'll smile in recognition.

But I miss home a lot. I miss my family, my friends, and the bf. Not in that particular order, but all of equal importance. I've had a wonderful time in Newfoundland but I'm ready to come home.

Bye Newfoundland, I'll miss you.
