Thursday, January 29, 2004 I went to cheer my friend Will on at the 'McMaster Idol' finals yesterday! Wow. He is so good. I always knew he could sing - he was always inviting me to hear him sing at competitions and stuff but I was never able to make it. But I promised to cheer him on when he told me he made it into the finals for Mac Idol. So I was in "groupie" mode as I lined up with my friends, 45 mins early, to grab good seats. I was so nervous for him when he finally came out on stage. But holy crap, I was blown outta my seat when he started singing. Not only did he have the voice, but he has awesome stage presence. He sang Usher's "Nice and Slow"..and seriously all the girls were swooning. I've said it before and I'll say it again: "if guys can sing, they can always get the girl." Out of the 11 that performed, he was chosen as Top 5. He didn't place when they selected the top 3, but he should've. It ultimately came down to a popularity contest, since the McMaster Idol was chosen by the crowd. Will, I'm proud of you! Congrats on your awesome performance. posted by Jenn | 3:07 PM | |
