Sorting Through the Clutter
If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this...

I did laps at the pool yesterday night.

It felt so good to swim. I haven't done that for awhile. I think out of all the types of exercises out there, I enjoy swimming the most. Nothing compares to the feeling of your body streaming through water. It's like a whole other world under the pool surface. All the outside sounds are drowned out and everything moves in slow motion.

After a few warm-up laps around the pool, my body falls into the familiar pattern. Even after I'd abandoned swimming for awhile, my body doesn't forget. I don't have to think about each movement anymore. All I concentrate on is my breathing. And that's when I hit the zone. The fatigue and strain that my body feels is pushed to the back of my mind as I concentrate on the rhythmic pattern of breathing.

I think I'm going to go more often.
