Monday, June 09, 2003 I went to our dragonboat team's first official race on Saturday. It freakin' rocked! Our team is a first year team, meaning we've never raced together. We have a handful of experienced rowers but the majority of us have never rowed before (like me!) Millie, (a fellow pacer who rows right beside me at the front of the boat) commented on how she loves our team's spirit. I totally have to agree with her. Sure, we're not the fastest boat or the stronger rowers but we blow every other team right out of the water with our energy and team spirit. Andrew and I even came up with a team dance! haha..how awesome is that? It's to the Lil' Kim's new song "The Jump Off". We taught it to the rest of the team on saturday at the team BBQ. Fun times. Come to the dragonboat races at Centre Island on June 21st. Our team is called "Holy Mac-Row" Haha..Holy Mackeral..Holy Mac-Row..get it?? We're from Mac. Mac-Row? ANYways, come cheer us on.
