Sorting Through the Clutter
If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this...

Saturday, April 19, 2003

You know that feeling you got as a kid - the one when your parents sternly asked you, "WHAT did you do?" And even though you know you didn't do anything wrong, they have you believing that you did.

Complete deja vu today.

I was in the kitchen, enjoying my break from studying and making myself some lunch (nothing beats a roast beef on rye sandwich..mmmm..). As I lay the final touches on my sandwich, I overhear my housemate talking to someone at the door just as he's leaving for his exam. I pick up the words "..in the kitchen". A few moments later, two uniformed cops walk in. Suddenly, the kitchen seemed a lot smaller. and that's precisely when that feeling washed over me.

Turned out they were looking for my neighbour. But I still had to take a deep breath before enjoying my sandwich.
