Sorting Through the Clutter If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this... |

![]() Saturday, July 28, 2007 Anonymous Flowers (Part I) I was still in Croatia when my roomie emailed me: "Is there something you're not telling me?!? A bouquet of roses just arrived for you. There's no sender name though" I thought it was kind of sweet. I like roses. There was a little card stuck amongst the flowers with only my name on it - no indication of who sent them. But what was he thinking, sending them to me 5 days before I arrived home from vacation?! I wrote it off as a one time deal, although my co-workers were convinced that he was going to try to contact that weekend since it was only my first week back from Europe. At the end of that week though, another anonymous bouquet were waiting for me down at the concierge desk when I got home from work. Again, no note - only my name. Although this time it's my full name. And they're orchids this time. Hmm..good taste in flowers, wants to remain anonymous, didn't know I was on vacation, knows my full name and my Toronto address. The next Friday, I was almost expecting a bouquet :P But nothing was waiting at the concierge desk. How strange...two bouquets and that's it. Oh well...I'll just pass it off as a nice gesture. Although, I was super curious by now. I had grilled everyone who knew my Toronto address by now. No clues. My friends were placing bets on who it could be: 1) Someone from work 2) Someone who lives in my condo 3) A friend of a friend 4) A friend I had already ruled out someone from work (no one there knows my Toronto address). I had already ruled out someone from my condo (no one who lives in the condo knows my full name). So that leaves a friend or a friend of a friend. Although everyone who knows my address had already told me that they wouldn't give out my address without asking me first. So was it a friend? I really didn't think so - why would he be sending me anonymous flowers? And then last Thursday, I received a huge bouquet of sunflowers, spider mums, tiger lilies, and other assorted bursts of colour. They were beautiful! and still anonymous. Now it was getting a little weird. It's been a month now and still no note, no call, no email revealing who the sender was. What kind of person would send flowers for over a month and not reveal who they are? (To be continued....) Labels: Life and the City posted by Jenn | 12:30 PM | |
