Wednesday, March 23, 2005 Want to know what’s gonna be hot in fashion this Fall? Come by and check out some items in my closet. A couple of us were invited over to Shelli Oh’s loft/design studio for a private showing of her Fall 2005 collection. She’s a Canadian designer who worked with Betsey Johnson before starting her own fashion line, Harebell. She had just unveiled her Fall 2005 collection at the Toronto Fashion Week runway show at Liberty Grand last week. And Monday evening, we had a chance to try on her collection before it even becomes available to the fashion-forward masses. I was just about jumping out of my skin from excitement. She’s a friend of a friend, so we got the “friend of a friend” discount (but that still turned out to be a small fortune). Then again, high fashion comes with a high price tag. (Now read that last line again, this time sticking your nose in the air and assuming a British accent). Ohmigoodness, I’m a dork – albeit a well-dressed and fashion-forward one.
