Saturday, December 13, 2003 So I've been done exams for a week now and what a great week it's been. Monday: Had lunch with my 7th aunt, my 8th uncle, my 9th aunt, and my dad in Scarborough. It was so nice to see them and have an actual conversation. I usually see them at Christmas gatherings, big social dinners, and Chinese new years but usually the crowd is too big to really have a good conversation. Dropped off my signed contract with Toromont. Yup, I have officially signed my life away :) Starting my (sorta) grown-up life in July. Tuesday: The boyfriend's BIG TWO-FOUR surprise birthday party was a success!! To MY surprise, everything went as planned and he was soooo surprised. I really thought that he had caught on about the whole plan about a week ago, but I guess I overestimated his deduction skills :) The look on his face when he saw everyone there was priceless. And he looked so happy. It made me happy to see him so happy. The elaborate surprise party took about a month to plan and included friends that he knew from high school, from dragonboating, from McMaster, and from Michener. I enjoyed planning it though...i gave me a reason to procrastinate while studying for exams. Wednesday: Went back to Hamilton to do the annual Christmas shopping spree with CH. I miss her! Even though we go to the same school, we're only able to see each other every few months cuz we're both incredibly busy. Did a 7-hour marathon Christmas shopping run and was able to cut down my shopping list by half! Cuba tickets are booked!! Hello warm tropical weather in two weeks! Thursday: Met up with betrue for lunch in Yorkville :) Yummy Italian cuisine. Caught up for about an hour or so but then she had to run back to work. Booooo..stop being a workaholic and come out with me! ;) Went rockclimbing with DL + friends at night. Holy crap, I haven't been climbing for a good 4 months and I totally couldn't do anything. I felt like a wimp. Must get body back in shape. Aww...DL was such a sweetie :) He bought me my first piece of climbing gear - a new chalk bag! Turned out DL's friend J was my floormate back in first year at Brandon Hall! Small world, huh? We caught up about what we've been up to for the past couple of years and speaking of small worlds, get this: she knew my ex-boyfriend from first year. They went to the same high school! Whoa. Friday: Met up with DC at Square One. Went shopping and caught up over piles of sale clothing. Man, I've had enough of the mall. It's no longer fun. :( But it was still great to see her. Met up with the boyfriend later on that day and went for dinner. We had Hotpot!! Yum...haven't had time for such a long time. I felt like a blimp afterwards - it was so much food. The poor boy hadn't slept for 48 hours so instead of hitting up an apartment party in North York, we chilled at his house and just had a nice night in. :) Ok, well I should get outta my PJs now and figure out how I'm gonna have fun today.
