Sorting Through the Clutter If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this... |

![]() Monday, October 06, 2003 Seems like some of you actually do care what I do and write about.. :) It's nice to know I'm not just babbling out into cyberspace. Friday was the night the boyfriend and I went out to celebrate our one year. We went out to Rude Native Bistro for dinner. This was the restaurant that we went to the night he asked me out and became a couple. The food there is amazing...delicious fusion cuisine. It's an ecclectic mix of Mediterranean, Indonesian, Thai, and East Indian food. Good conversation over good food. I love how he and I can talk about anything...from radiactive isotopes to medieval history. Afterwards, we went up to the lookout point on the Hamilton Escarpment. Those of you, who think that Hamilton is just a city of smog and pollution, have never looked beyond the first impression. If you know where to go and look, Hamilton is one of the most beautiful Ontario cities. The Botanical Gardens, the Escarpment in the background, the dozens of waterfalls around the escarpment, Cootes Paradies Trail...the city is full of picturesque scenery. Anyway, I've wandered off my point. Where was I? Oh yeah.... We drove up to the Hamilton Escarpment lookout point, parked the car, and walked over to the spot by the flags. It was right here that he asked me out a year ago. We looked out over the city, the city lights twinkled, and we just stood there silent for awhile. It looked exactly the same as a year ago, though it's colder this year. We stood there for awhile, just soaking in the moment and the lightly drizzling rain. So that was our anniversary: a re-creation of the THAT night, a year ago. posted by Jenn | 6:12 PM | |
