Sorting Through the Clutter If you somehow were able to unearth my diary amidst the clutter of my room, then you would probably find something like this... |

![]() Tuesday, April 08, 2003 This year's candlelight sharing was particularly bittersweet. This end-of-the-year tradition also serves as a graduate appreciation night....and all of the grads this year have a special place in my heart because we all started university together 4 years ago. Four year ago, 7 froshies (all a little unsure and overwhelmed) wandered into a group called CCF. And it would be in this group, we would find a place to call our own, a family, a warm and welcoming smile...our home away from home. I should be graduating with them if it weren't for my five year program...and now, they're all going off without me. With them leaves the last group of people that made my first year a wonderful one. I feel like such a "lo beng" at CCF...haha (now, I know how Brian must've felt in his last years here). I've seen it grow from 10 members to over 60 members now. I've seen people come and go. I've seen and appreciated the different dynamics within CCF from year to year. I've kinda been on the down-lo this year, in terms of my level of involvment at CCF...since I've felt so burnt out from serving on committee last year. I guess, I've kinda taken a breather...I needed to 'take in" so that I would once again have something to 'give out". The fact that my fellow frosh group is graduating made me realize something. Just as the upper years had taken me under their wing in my first year, I want to do the same - now that I'm in the position to do so. Picture courtesy of Brian Fu. Friday night CCF used to be held in the building in the picture, Divinity College. This year, due to contract issues, we had to change our location. But to me, Divinity College will always be the home of CCF. posted by Jenn | 6:08 PM | |
